Make Your Dream a Reality
Do you ever get a feeling when you get to your room after a long exhausting day, and you realize that in your dreams that room looks so much better? But how do you start converting your master bedroom into something more fun, something interesting, something that you feel relaxed in?
Well, don’t worry the solution doesn’t have to cost you a ton, just a little bit of time, some imagination, creativity, courage and a few handy skills.
First thing first, paint those walls! And if you love color have fun with it and pick a color! I personally am a big fan and I love looking at neutral spaces, but they just never feel like me. So that said, what are you waiting for? Pick something bold, something dark, but most importantly something that feels right for you.
I love this new paint company, Clare. They have created the best of the best colors, so you are not overwhelmed with choices and don’t have to spend hours looking at variations of yellows and blues.
For example, this green color, Current Mood, is dark but yet still so stylish.
So you got your color down? If you are renting and are not allowed to paint, there are always peel and stick wallpaper options! Try Walls Need Love. They have an amazing pattern selection!
So we got your walls down? Next, let’s pick some new light fixtures. These don’t have to be expensive and could totally be wall-mounted plug-in sconces over your bed.
Next thing? Artwork. Have fun with it! Frame your favorite photo of your family, select that special picture drawn by your kids, but most importantly make it special to you! Don’t feel like putting up artwork? Find old shutters, windows, mirrors, curtains … the possibilities are endless.
In order to make your art stand out make sure to put it in a great frame. You can use Framebridge to achieve a custom look without breaking the bank.
Or how about some macrame? Simple and unique.
Or have fun with a bunch of these mirrors hanging over your bed.
And lastly, curtains don’t have to be for windows only. Cover a plain wall or a wall behind your bed, and ta-da! You have a very affordable easy update.
This can all happen without updating your bed frame or headboard. As you can use some ideas mentioned to make it happen without ever buying a big piece of furniture. I would love to give you more ideas or design something specifically for your space, so reach out to me for any of your particular problems.
